A positive 2-2 draw settled the match between Tunisia and Botswana, played as part of the second round of qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Tunisian national team entered the match seeking their first victory in the qualifiers, having started their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Uganda, while Botswana also aimed to secure their first win after drawing 2-2 with Libya in the opening round.

The Carthage Eagles initially fell behind by one goal before Hazem Mastouri equalized at the end of the first half. At the start of the second half, Mastouri gave Tunisia the lead, but the guests managed to level the score again in the 60th minute.

With this result, both teams raised their tally to two points in Group 8, awaiting the continuation of the second-round matches featuring Uganda versus Libya, while the group standings remain open as the competition for qualification continues.
