Dulaque said in statements carried by the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper: "I am very proud of my team, and every player on the team, whether on or off the pitch. We showed good character and deserved to win."
He added, "When I talk about character, I mean the team's character, and that is the character I want."
Al-Riyadh have conceded 11 goals in their first three league matches. On this, Dulaque said, "We conceded some goals due to a lack of focus and mistakes that happen in football, and this is the problem I need to solve."
He concluded, "The goals we conceded were not due to defensive weakness, but due to the players' lack of focus, and the problem I need to solve is the players' focus during the match."
Regarding the substitution of player Anthony, Al-Riyadh's coach clarified, "Player Anthony was the one who requested the substitution."
Al-Riyadh earned their first point of the season after losing their first two matches, 2-4 to Al-Ittihad and 0-4 to Al-Nassr.
