Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet bid farewell to Al-Ahly Club fans after his departure from the team's ranks during the summer transfer period.
Al-Ahly Club announced the official termination of the contract with player Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, following several friendly consultations between the two parties during the past period that followed the end of the season.
Trezeguet wrote on his official account on the social media site "Instagram": "Before anything else, praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. I grew up here, matured here, and learned here the meaning of belonging, and I will never forget that every step I reached began from this place."
He added: "Today I depart to embark on a new professional experience, carrying with me the pride of representing this emblem and all the memories that will remain with me for a lifetime. Leaving is not a farewell to Al-Ahly, because Al-Ahly will always remain a part of my heart, wherever I am."
He continued: "Thanks to the board of directors headed by Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib, the technical staff, and my colleagues who were my family inside and outside the pitch, and to every individual working for this great club."
He concluded: "To the great Al-Ahly fans, you are not just supporters; you are the secret behind every victory and the true motivation that makes any player give more than he possesses. Thank you for the love, the cheers, and the support in the most difficult and most beautiful moments. I will leave, but your love will remain with me in every stadium I play in."
