Media reports have confirmed that Turkish club Trabzonspor has reached an agreement to sign Brazilian international Fabinho, the former midfielder of Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad.
The Brazilian star became a free agent after his contract with the Saudi club expired at the end of last season.
Trabzonspor reaches agreement to sign Fabinho
Fabrizio Romano, the journalist specializing in transfer market news, reported via his account on "X" that Trabzonspor has booked a flight for Fabinho within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Romano added that a date has also been set for the Brazilian star's medical examination at the Turkish club.
The Brazilian star previously played alongside Mohamed Salah at Liverpool from the summer of 2018 to the summer of 2023.
Fabinho's career with Al-Ittihad Saudi Arabia
The Brazilian star joined Al-Ittihad Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023, arriving from England's Liverpool for a fee of €46.70 million.
The 32-year-old player participated in 111 matches with the Saudi team across all competitions over three years, scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists.
Fabinho won both the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League and the King's Cup with the Saudi club in the same season.
