Media reports indicated that English club Tottenham Hotspur has reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City regarding the signing of Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, the Citizens' striker.
Fabrizio Romano, the Italian journalist, clarified via his account on the social media platform "X" that an initial verbal agreement has been reached between Tottenham and Manchester City for a loan deal with a mandatory buyout clause worth £50 million, subject to certain conditions being met.
Romano added that the Egyptian star agreed to join Spurs a few days ago and will undergo a medical examination tomorrow.
The Egyptian star did not participate in the Citizens' match against their guest Bournemouth on Sunday evening, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium in the first round of the English Premier League.
Omar Marmoush's career with Manchester City
The 27-year-old player has a contract with the Citizens until the summer of 2029.
The Egyptian star joined Man City in January 2025, arriving from German club Eintracht Frankfurt for €75 million.
The Egyptian striker participated in 36 matches with the Citizens across all competitions last season, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.
