Micky Moore scored Spurs' first goal in the 41st minute, before Dominic Solanke added the London club's second goal in the 45th minute.
Kevin Danso netted Spurs' third goal in the 67th minute, followed by Savinho scoring the London team's fourth goal in the 82nd minute.
Ben Davis scored the hosts' fifth goal in the 85th minute, before Oued Jones pulled one back for the visitors in the 87th minute.
Several English media reports indicated that Tottenham is close to signing Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, Manchester City's striker, on loan this summer.
In another match, Newcastle United defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-2.
Chelsea is scheduled to face Luton Town tomorrow evening, Thursday, in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
