The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association had previously decided to set the start date of the Premier League for the new 2026-2027 season on either August 20 or 21 next, with the participation of 20 clubs.
Zamalek Club won the Egyptian League title in the past 2025/2026 season after fierce competition with both Pyramids and Al-Ahly until the last round in the crowning stage.
The Red Giant took the lead in the list of the highest players in terms of market value, according to data from the global "Transfermarkt" network specialized in football statistics.
Al-Ahly was present with 6 players within the list of players with the highest market value, topped by Imam Ashour, the star of Al-Ahly's midfield and the Egyptian national team, while Zamalek Club was content with a single representative.
