English international Ivan Toney, striker for Al-Ahli Jeddah, expressed his great enthusiasm for facing Sundowns in the Intercontinental Cup.
Al-Ahli Jeddah will visit Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday evening in the Tri-Continental Cup final as part of the Intercontinental Cup.
Ivan Toney told reporters: "I am extremely excited to face Sundowns in Pretoria. I have heard about this team and know that they score many goals and win most of their matches, but this only increases my excitement to face them."
He added, "I hope we can break through their defense, score goals, and secure victory for our team. I have started the season well, and I hope to continue scoring and helping the team."
Toney currently tops the scoring chart in the current Saudi Pro League season with 10 goals.
Al-Ahli Jeddah began their campaign in the current edition of the tournament by defeating New Zealand's Auckland FC 1-0 on August 26.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are participating in the competition as champions of the CAF Champions League.
