The management of Saudi club Al-Ahli has given the green light for Brazilian striker Ricardo Matheus to leave on loan to Al-Riyadh for the current season.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadhia," Al-Ahli club has agreed to let the 20-year-old Brazilian striker go on loan until the end of this season.
Matheus had previously joined the Jeddah-based club from Brazil's Internacional, where he was registered in the youth category. Since his transfer, he has participated in six matches but has neither scored nor assisted any goals.
Al-Riyadh club, which includes Egyptian international Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet" among its players, seeks to utilize the deal with Brazilian Matheus to help the team remain among the top clubs in the Saudi League.
Al-Riyadh team has played five matches in the Saudi League, achieving one win and one draw, collecting four points, while suffering losses in three matches.
In the previous round, Al-Riyadh suffered a heavy defeat against their rivals Al-Ahli, losing by five goals without reply, during the fifth week of the league.
Al-Riyadh team currently occupies the twelfth position in the standings of the Saudi Roshn League. They will play tomorrow evening, Monday, against their rival Al-Khaleej in the sixth round.
