The Bulgarian club Ludogorets announced its official signing of German coach Thomas Reis to take over the technical leadership of the team in preparation for the new season.
The club stated in an official statement that the 52-year-old coach has already arrived in the city of Razgrad and completed all contracting procedures with the club's management, and that he will lead the team's first training session on Monday.
Reis will arrive in Bulgaria accompanied by his technical staff, which includes Dutchman Ton Lokhoff as first assistant, and Bosnian-Austrian Daniel Zinkovich as second assistant.

Lokhoff has a long career as a player and coach, having played around 600 matches for NAC Breda, Eindhoven, and Feyenoord, and has coached NAC Breda and Excelsior, and worked as an assistant at Red Bull Salzburg, PAOK, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, and Samsunspor.
Reis arrives at Ludogorets after a successful stint with Turkish side Samsunspor, where he took charge of the team in 2024 and led them to third place in the Turkish league in the 2024-2025 season, the club's best achievement in decades, securing European participation for the first time in nearly 30 years.
Zamalek defender Hossam Abdel Maguid is close to leaving his team and moving abroad to play in the Bulgarian league.
Islam Abdel Maguid, Hossam Abdel Maguid's agent, previously revealed toFilGoal.com that the player has finalized his personal agreement with Bulgarian club Ludogorets.
He explained that the deal will cost the Bulgarian club one and a half million euros, and the two clubs are in the final stages of negotiations.
The Bulgarian team has won 14 league titles, 4 Bulgarian Cups, and 9 Super Cups.
