Hossam El-Mandouh, treasurer of Zamalek Club, clarified the truth regarding former club president Mamdouh Abbas's involvement in the White Castle's board decisions, following the support he has provided to the club recently.
El-Mandouh stated in interviews on Al-Nahar Channel that donations and financial support from Zamalek fans do not grant them the right to interfere in the club's board decisions, affirming that Mamdouh Abbas has not intervened in board matters in exchange for his contributions.
Hossam El-Mandouh said: "No fan who donates to Zamalek Club can interfere in the board's decisions due to their support. Mamdouh Abbas or anyone else has never intervened in club decisions in return for their payments. However, at times, we seek their opinions and benefit from their expertise."

The Zamalek treasurer also highlighted the club's major accomplishments over recent years, noting the current board's success in securing several titles despite challenges and pressures.
He stated: "Over the past twenty years, Zamalek won the league title four times, two of which occurred during this board's tenure. The club also secured the African Super Cup twice, one of them during our period, despite significant challenges, hardships, pressures, and the high aspirations of Zamalek fans."
Developments in Zamalek players' dues crisis
In another context, Hossam El-Mandouh addressed the issue of players' outstanding dues, confirming that the club successfully settled most of last season's obligations.
He said: "When we assumed responsibility for Zamalek Club, the football sector had outstanding dues reaching one billion Egyptian pounds. Currently, we are holding meetings with players, who have received 80% of last season's dues, with only a small percentage remaining."
He added: "Zamalek players are not complaining about the dues; they are simply demanding what is rightfully theirs. This matter does not concern Fathouh or any specific player. Reports suggesting Fathouh feels frustrated or angry over his dues are incorrect."
