Press reports clarified the reality of negotiations between the American club Inter Miami and the Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne, midfielder of the Italian team Napoli.
The Belgian player joined Napoli last summer as a free agent, after a long period spent with Manchester City, and was linked with a move to Galatasaray or the American league.

Fabrizio Romano, the journalist specializing in transfer market news, stated via his account on the "X" site that Inter Miami is not negotiating regarding Kevin De Bruyne.
The Belgian player was only able to participate in 21 matches wearing the Napoli shirt during his first season, but nevertheless contributed five goals and four assists.
Before the serious injury that kept him away from the pitches from October 2025 to March 2026, the Belgian star had expressed his dissatisfaction with the playing style of Antonio Conte, the former Partenopei coach.
Napoli's sports director Giovanni Mana had clarified in previous statements: "De Bruyne does not have to make a decision, he was a useful player for the team last season until he was injured, and he is now a player at Napoli".
He added: "He has not spoken with Allegri yet, and we are waiting for him at the new season's preparation camp, he was an important investment for us, and he did not deliver the expected performance from him, but he is still part of the project".
