Ashraf Nassar, president of National Bank Club, revealed the truth about repeated negotiations from Al Ahly's side to sign Osama Faisal, the team's striker.
Osama Faisal's name, the former Zamalek striker, has been linked to a move to Al Ahly's ranks on more than one occasion, while press reports indicated that the National Bank administration is demanding an exorbitant amount to approve the deal.
Ashraf Nassar said in statements to On Sport channel: "Osama Faisal's name comes up in every transfer window, but 'it's all talk,' and so far we have not received any official offers from inside or outside Egypt."
He added: "Al Ahly has never negotiated with us regarding this deal, but there were discussions with Osama Faisal himself, and when the talk increased, I held a meeting with him, at which point he confirmed to me his desire to stay with the team, and after that we renewed his contract."
He continued: "Al Ahly has never negotiated with us officially at any time to sign Osama Faisal, and it was said that we are asking for 90 million pounds to approve Al Ahly's offer, and all of this is incorrect."
He concluded: "By the calculations, Osama Faisal is one of the best strikers in Egypt, and there is a scarcity in this position, and his age is still young, but when any offer arrives we will assess the situation and see his desire."
Ashraf Nassar ended his statements by saying: "When any offer arrives for any player, the club's football committee discusses the matter, but next season we have great ambitions, and Osama Faisal is one of the key elements to achieving this ambition."
