The truth about selling Ahmed Fattouh to Al-Ahli Benghazi
Maher Gharib stated in comments via "Modern Mti" channel: "The relationship between Zamalek and Libyan Al-Ahli is excellent. The club's official position is clear, which is not agreeing to sell Fattouh."
He continued: "Fattouh's agent was informed of the club's decision several days ago. He is a player for Zamalek, one of the team leaders, and has an influential role in the dressing room."
He added: "All respect to Fattouh and his agent. If there is anything official, we will announce it."
He emphasized: "I urge Zamalek fans not to pay attention to rumors circulating here and there on social media. Any talk coming from outside the club about selling Fattouh is not our responsibility."
Ahmed Suleiman, a member of Zamalek's board of directors, had previously confirmed that statements made by Ahmed Fattouh's agent regarding the club's desire to increase the offer value from Al-Ahli Benghazi to agree to sell the player were incorrect.
Ahmed Suleiman posted on his personal account: "Statements by Mr. Samir, Ahmed Fattouh's agent, mentioned on the 'Al-Laa'eb' program that Zamalek Club requested $700,000 for Fattouh's transfer."
The Zamalek board member added: "If you have the courage, say who from Zamalek Club requested this amount for Fattouh's transfer."
Meanwhile, Samir Salah, Ahmed Fattouh's agent, confirmed in previous statements: "Al-Ahli Benghazi sent an offer to Zamalek Club three days ago for $500,000 to buy Ahmed Fattouh."
He continued: "Zamalek rejected Al-Ahli Benghazi's offer and requested increasing the offer to a minimum of $700,000 to sell Fattouh. A second offer was indeed sent, but the club again requested increasing the offer to $1 million."
