The Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced a meeting with officials from Al-Ahly and Zamalek channels, along with officials from Zamalek Radio, next Tuesday, to discuss mechanisms for developing sports media discourse before the start of the new season.
The meeting, organized by the Committee for Regulating Sports Media Performance headed by Abdel Salam Al-Najjar, a Council member and Vice President of the State Council, comes as part of establishing clear controls for presenting sports content that reflects the values of fair competition and rejects fanaticism and mutual attacks between the two poles of Egyptian football.
The meeting aims to emphasize commitment to professional controls and ethical codes regulating media work, contributing to a responsible media message, preserving stability in the sports arena, and reducing unjustified sensationalism.
Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, is scheduled to attend part of the meeting, which will focus on work mechanisms inside Al-Ahly and Zamalek channels, along with Zamalek Radio, in a manner that enhances public awareness and helps ease tensions between the fans of the two clubs.
The Council clarified that this session marks the start of a series of meetings scheduled before the new football season, involving media professionals, journalists, and sports content creators, with the goal of developing sports media discourse, strengthening its role in raising awareness of the dangers of fanaticism, and consolidating positive sports values.
