The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, issued a decision banning media presenter Karim Hassan Shatta, host of the program "Football Every Day" on Al Hayat channel, from appearing on air, following the program's episode broadcast on August 29.
Karim Hassan Shatta had claimed that there was a conversation between Wael Hamda, the football manager of Al Ahly Club, and referee Mohamed Marouf, stating the necessity of substituting Ali Mahmoud, the red team's player, to avoid his red card in the match between Al Ahly and Zed.

The Complaints Committee of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by media figure Essam El Amir, the Council's Deputy, had examined the reports regarding the episode presented by Karim Hassan Shatta, in the presence of the legal representative of "Al Hayat" channel.
The official page of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation on the social media platform "Facebook" posted: "The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, approved the recommendation of the Complaints Committee, headed by media figure Essam El Amir, the Council's Deputy, regarding the episode of the program 'Football Every Day' broadcast on 'Al Hayat' channel on August 29, presented by Karim Hassan Shatta."
It continued: "The Council's decision mandates all media outlets subject to the provisions of the Press and Media Regulation Law No. 180 of 2018 to ban Karim Hassan Shatta from appearing for one month from the date of the broadcast of the episode in question."
The Council added: "The Council's decision was based on the report of the General Administration for Monitoring at the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, in addition to what took place during the hearing session held by the Complaints Committee, in the presence of the legal representative of Al Hayat channel."
