The Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced that it had received a complaint from Hussein Labib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, against media personality Amir Hisham, presenter of the Modern Sport program broadcast on the Modern MTI satellite channel.
The complaint from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club stated that the respondent has repeatedly cast doubt on the financial integrity and probity of the club's board of directors, which constitutes a violation of the controls, standards, and media codes issued by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation.
The complaint was referred to the Complaints Committee to examine and study its contents and take the necessary measures in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Zamalek had clarified in a statement via its media center on Friday that the club had filed a complaint against Amir Hisham following the violations he committed against the club during Wednesday's and Thursday's episodes, and his casting doubt on the financial integrity of the members of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, according to the White Club's statement.
Zamalek stressed in its statement that what happened constitutes a violation of the media codes and standards regulating media work issued by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation.
Zamalek said in its statement, "This step comes from the Board of Directors in the framework of preserving the club's and its officials' rights, and confronting any violations or abuses against the White Castle."
It stressed, "The same legal steps will be taken against any broadcaster or media personality who violates the rights of Zamalek Club or its officials, whether through satellite channels or through social media platforms."
