The young Nigerian striker George Elenikhena, playing for Al-Ittihad Saudi Club, managed to draw attention during the match against Al-Nassr in the highlight of Round 5 of the 2026–2027 season of the Saudi Roshn League.

The Nigerian forward succeeded in putting Al-Ittihad ahead after scoring a goal in the 4th minute, then the 20-year-old returned to net his team's second goal in the 22nd minute in a brilliant fashion.

George Elenikhena had previously scored a goal for Al-Ittihad in their match against Al-Qadsiah, which ended 1–0 in favor of "Al-Ameed," bringing the Nigerian player's league tally to three goals.

Elenikhena also has two additional goals in this edition of the King's Cup, having scored against Al-Najma in a match that concluded 3–0 as part of the Round of 32 fixtures.

The Nigerian marksman joined Al-Ittihad during last January's transfer window, arriving from Monaco in a deal valued at €30 million, according to the website "Transfermarkt."

Earlier media reports indicated that the Nigerian locomotive was close to leaving on loan, with interest shown by clubs such as Schalke, Sevilla, and Hull City.

The continued presence of the young Nigerian player came amid the declining performance of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri with Al-Ittihad since the start of the season, prompting German coach Jens Vissing to request the player's departure this summer.
