Paris Saint-Germain club has taken a decisive decision regarding the possibility of signing Manchester City star Rodri during the current summer transfer season for the year 2026.
The current contract of the Spanish star, who recently won the World Cup, with Manchester City will end in the summer of 2027, i.e. the end of next season, without any agreement regarding renewal.
Rodri has been linked with leaving the "Etihad" stadium this summer and moving to Real Madrid, as the latter wants his services, and the player himself is open to that idea.

Meanwhile, recent press reports have emerged indicating that Real Madrid is not the only club interested in signing Rodri, as there are Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the French newspaper "Le Parisien", Paris Saint-Germain does not intend to make any offer to sign Rodri in the current summer transfer window.
It explained that Paris Saint-Germain believes it already has the best midfield in the world and does not need to strengthen it with new deals at the moment.
It stated that the European champion, Paris Saint-Germain, believes it has sufficient options in midfield, including Warren Zaïre-Emery, Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, João Neves, as well as Senny Mayulu.
It pointed out that there are rumors suggesting that mentioning Paris Saint-Germain as a competitor to Real Madrid for Rodri's deal was either to retaliate in order to raise his price in the market after the failure of the deal for Diao Diomande, where the Royal intervened and secured it after the French club was the closest to it, or that Manchester City leaked the news to increase his market value.
