The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the appointment of an Algerian refereeing team to officiate the match between Pyramids FC and Kenya's Gor Mahia, marking the start of their 2026–2027 CAF Champions League campaign.
Pyramids will visit Kenya's Gor Mahia on Sunday, September 6, at 3:00 PM Egypt and Saudi Arabia time, at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, for the first leg of the Round of 64 in the CAF Champions League.

Referees for the Pyramids vs. Gor Mahia match
The match will be officiated by Algerian referee Mohamed Rafik, assisted by his compatriots Yassine Ben Salama as first assistant referee, Mohamed Hamaidi as second assistant referee, and Hossam Ben Yahia as fourth official.
The match observer will be Bejashu Asfu from Ethiopia, while Lydia Abidi, also from Ethiopia, will serve as the referees' assessor.
It is worth noting that the return leg between the two teams will take place at 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 13, at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.
