A source within the Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab club revealed the reason for Mohamed Abdel Nasser, the team's player, missing the match against Tala'ea El-Gaish in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League for the new 2026-2027 season.

Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab had lost to Tala'ea El-Gaish by a goal without reply in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, within the competitions of the first round of the Premier League.

The match witnessed the absence of Mohamed Abdel Nasser, Al-Ahly's new signing, from Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab's squad list, despite his joining the team during the ongoing summer transfer window.

A source stated in exclusive comments to "Yalla Kora" that Mohamed Abdel Nasser is suffering from a hamstring tear and has been absent from participating with the team for about 20 days.

The source clarified that the player began returning to group training sessions over the past few days; however, the technical staff, led by Samy Kamssan, preferred not to field him in the match against Tala'ea El-Gaish, out of caution against rushing his return.

He indicated that the medical staff is currently working on fully preparing Mohamed Abdel Nasser in preparation for his return to matches, with the target of having him available for the upcoming fixture against Al-Masry Port Said.

Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab is preparing to face Al-Masry Port Said next Thursday evening at 8:00 PM at the New Suez Stadium, within the competitions of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
