A source in Real Oviedo club revealed the secret behind the absence of the Egyptian star Haitham Hassan from the team's delegation heading to Germany to play one of the friendly matches, within the framework of the team's preparations for the next season.
This comes after the player joined the team's collective training sessions earlier, following the end of his vacation after participating with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
The source said in exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura": "The real reason behind Haitham Hassan's not traveling with the rest of the team is that he returned today only a few hours ago from the vacation he got after participating in the World Cup".
He added: "Therefore, the best decision for him was to continue his training in Asturias instead of joining the traveling delegation".
The source concluded his statements, saying: "We will return on Sunday, and then he will rejoin the rest of the team and resume training with them starting from that day".
Real Oviedo is scheduled to play against German Nuremberg next Saturday in a new test aimed at continuing to improve performance before the start of the season.
