The Egyptian Football Association revealed that Emirati businessman Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor presented a gift to the first-team players and the technical, administrative, and medical staff following the 2026 World Cup achievement.
The Egyptian national team arrived in Cairo today, Friday, after concluding its participation in the 2026 World Cup tournament.
The Pharaohs' national team delivered an exceptional and historic performance after qualifying for the round of 16 at the World Cup for the first time, only to exit following a 3-2 defeat to Argentina.
The Football Association announced via its official website that Emirati businessman Ahmed Al Habtoor contacted officials regarding the presentation of a car to each member of the Egyptian national team delegation.
This comes in appreciation of the honorable performance delivered by the Egyptian national team in the World Cup, which delighted millions and brought joy to the hearts of all Arabs.
The initiative encompasses all members of the national team delegation, including the players and members of the technical, administrative, and medical staff, in recognition of their efforts and in the belief that success is the fruit of collective work.
Al Habtoor stated in remarks reported by the Football Association that what the Egyptian national team achieved is not merely an accomplishment for Egypt alone, but a source of pride for every Arab.
He added: "Egypt's joy today is the joy of every Arab. What this national team presented deserves every appreciation, and it is our duty to celebrate those who raise the Arab flag high in international forums. I wish them further success and achievements worthy of Egypt's name and stature."
He continued: "This gift expresses our love and appreciation for Egypt's heroes, who have honored their homeland, delighted their fans, and imparted to every Arab a lesson in determination, perseverance, and fighting spirit. You have proven that faith, teamwork, and fighting until the final whistle are values that forge achievements."
He concluded: "The future lies ahead of you, and what you have delivered in this World Cup confirms that Egyptian football is capable of achieving further successes."
