The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association announced the formation of the main Referees Committee headed by Essam Abdel Fattah, which will be responsible for all refereeing decisions in Egyptian competitions in the coming period.
The Association confirmed in its statement published on its official "Facebook" account that both Jamal Al-Ghandour and Samir Othman will be deputies to Essam Abdel Fattah, head of the committee.
The Association said: "The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association approved the formation of the main Referees Committee headed by Captain Essam Abdel Fattah".
It added: "The membership of Captain Jamal Al-Ghandour as Vice Chairman of the Committee, and Captain Samir Othman as Vice Chairman of the Committee as well, in addition to Captain Wajih Ahmed and Captain Mahmoud Ashour as members, was approved".
The Association concluded in its statement: "The Board of Directors also decided to complete the formation of the Technical Committee for Referees and the Referees Academy in the coming period, within the framework of the Association's plan to develop the refereeing system and improve the technical and administrative performance of referees, and qualify new cadres according to the best international standards, which will positively reflect on Egyptian football competitions".
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abu Rida, had previously announced the appointment of Essam Abdel Fattah as the new head of the Referees Committee, succeeding the Colombian, Oscar Ruiz.
