The Egyptian women's volleyball team crowned themselves champions of the African Nations Cup, held in Nairobi, Kenya, after securing a well-deserved 3-0 victory over their Kenyan counterparts in the tournament final.
Egypt successfully reclaimed the African title following an impressive campaign throughout the tournament, winning all their matches to affirm their dominance and rightfully ascend to the throne of African volleyball.
The Egyptian team had already secured official qualification for the 2027 Volleyball World Championship upon reaching the final, before continuing their stellar performance to clinch the continental title, thereby also earning qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Egypt began their tournament journey with victories over Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Uganda in the group stage, followed by wins against Burundi in the Round of 16, Tunisia in the quarter-finals, and Rwanda in the semi-finals, all by a score of 3-0.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan team qualified for the final after defeating Cameroon 3-0 in the semi-finals.
This African title for the Egyptian women's team adds another chapter to Egypt's volleyball achievements, reinforcing the team's standing on the continental level as they continue preparations for upcoming international commitments, chiefly the 2027 World Championship and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
