The Egyptian women's volleyball team qualified for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics after clinching the African Nations Championship title against Kenya.

Egypt's women's volleyball team won the 2026 African Nations Volleyball Championship title by defeating Kenya 3-0 in sets, marking their first triumph since 2003.

Egypt dominated the match completely with a significant advantage, securing the first set 25-21. Egyptian players then overwhelmed the second set with crushing superiority and control, winning it 25-15.

Egyptian players continued their dominance, controlling the third set with a major edge over Kenya, the host nation playing before its home crowd. The third set ended 25-16, granting Egypt an easy and overwhelming 3-0 victory in sets.

Thus, Egypt's women's team avenged their defeat to Kenya in the 2023 edition.

This title marks the fourth championship won by Egypt's women's team in the history of their participation in the African Nations Championship.

Kenya has been a lucky opponent for Egypt, as Egypt's women's team last won the title in 2003 also against Kenya, with a 3-1 scoreline.

Now, after 20 years, Egypt's women's team has reclaimed the championship by defeating Kenya, the defending champions, once again on their home soil before their own fans.

This encounter was the fourth final between Egypt and Kenya in the African Women's Volleyball Championship; Kenya won twice, while Egypt secured the title twice, both occasions occurring on Kenyan soil before Kenyan crowds.

Egypt's women's volleyball team had already secured qualification for the 2027 Women's Volleyball World Championship upon reaching the African final.

Throughout the tournament, Egypt's women's volleyball team did not lose a single set.
