Hossam El-Mandouh, treasurer of Zamalek's board of directors, confirmed that the club obtained the African license through its own efforts, not with the help of Hany Abu Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association. He noted that board members did not sleep until all dues were paid and legal issues resolved to secure the license.
Responding to a question about whether there are valid and invalid contracts in clubs, El-Mandouh said: "There is everything; when a player wants to agree with us on 80 million pounds for the season, and we hear his contract with the new club is 5 million, this is unreasonable."
El-Mandouh confirmed in television statements on Al-Nahar channel on Sunday evening that he was referring to Ahmed Sayed Zizo, an Al-Ahly player, indicating that this is an appropriate opportunity for the state to monitor the file of players' contracts.
He continued: "I am not accusing anyone, but after Hany Abu Rida's statement, this file should be studied and viewed differently. When a player demanded 80 million and received 5 million, this raises questions."

He added: "This file must be studied, and I might submit a request to discuss it in parliament, as our role in parliament includes discussing such matters because it involves public funds and raises questions."
He continued: "Zamalek players received between 75% to 80% of their dues from last season. Captain Hussein Lieb met with the players, and I felt that Ahmed Fattouh did not complain despite being injured, nor did he demand 50 million pounds."
He concluded: "Bezerra will return soon. We are communicating with him officially and legally to maximize benefit from this matter. Talk about selling him will only occur after his return. Afterward, we will discuss his departure. Our legal position is sound, and if he does not return, severe legal procedures will be taken."
