Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Fulham club is targeting the signing of Gonzalo Garcia, Real Madrid team striker, during the summer transfer window, to bolster the English club's squad ahead of the new season.
Romano confirmed via his X account that Fulham is preparing to negotiate officially with Real Madrid to complete the Garcia deal.
He explained that the deal would meet the demands of coach Alvaro Arbeloa, the team's current technical director and former Real Madrid player, who knows the young striker's abilities well.
He concluded: "The deal depends on a specific formula, where Real Madrid wants to retain its rights, in addition to Jose Mourinho's final approval."
Arbeloa had relied on the 22-year-old striker with Real Madrid last season, where he featured in 39 matches across competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists to his teammates.
