Zamalek holds the Egyptian League title for the past season, after securing the title following a fierce struggle with Pyramids and Al-Ahly until the last round.
Date of the league draw for the 2026-2027 season
The official account of the Clubs Association indicated that it was decided to hold the draw for the Egyptian League for the new 2026-2027 season on Wednesday, corresponding to August 5.
The activities of the Egyptian League draw for the new season will commence at exactly three o'clock in the afternoon at the Target Project in the city of the Sixth of October.
It is scheduled that the new season of the Egyptian League will witness the participation of 20 clubs, where the first stage will be held according to the league system of one round.
The teams will be divided in the final stage into two groups, the first comprising 6 teams to compete for the title, and the second comprising 14 teams to compete to avoid relegation.
