The Ministry of Endowments announced today, Wednesday, the opening of an investigation into the incident of one of the sheikhs mocking Al-Ahly Club while wearing the Azharite attire.
Social media users circulated a clip of an imam from the Ministry of Endowments standing in front of Zamalek Club's headquarters, mocking Al-Ahly after confirming its participation in the Confederation Championship.
The Ministry of Endowments said it followed with interest what some accounts on social media platforms circulated of a video clip of an imam at the Endowments wearing the Azharite attire and speaking in front of a famous sports club on a non-preaching matter, in a manner that involved mockery of another famous sports club.
Accordingly, the Ministry decided to open an urgent investigation into the incident and take appropriate measures in that regard to preserve the public image of the Ministry, the message of the imam, and the dignity of the Azharite attire.
Zamalek and Pyramids will participate in the African Champions League in the next season "2026-2027", while Al-Ahly and Zed will play in the Confederation.
