Press reports revealed the sudden resignation of English coach Eddie Howe from managing Newcastle United's first football team after a long career marked by many important and decisive moments in the club's history.
Eddie Howe is considered the most prominent English coach on the global scene at present and led Newcastle to win the Professional League Cup "Carabao" against Liverpool.
Eddie Howe also led a major revolution to change the mentality of the English club, turning it into one of the stubborn English clubs competing for a permanent spot in European competitions and guiding them to the UEFA Champions League more than once.

The British newspaper "The Athletic" said that after Eddie Howe agreed with the English administration to continue leading the team, he backtracked and decided to submit his resignation due to his desire to take a break.
It stated that the most prominent candidate to succeed him is coach Matthias Jaissle, the technical director of the first football team at Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah.
This step is considered somewhat bold given the coach's lack of the European atmosphere and the intense competition present in the English Premier League.
Jaissle won three titles with Saudi Al-Ahli: the AFC Champions League Elite twice and the Saudi Super Cup once.
