The network indicated that Newcastle Club has expressed its readiness for the expected departure of Eddie Howe, and has held talks with Matthias Jaissle, coach of Saudi Al Ahli Jeddah, which have reached advanced stages.

Meanwhile, Eddie Howe took over Newcastle's coaching in November 2021, succeeding Steve Bruce, after the Saudi Investment Fund's acquisition.
He also led the team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League after finishing fourth in the 2022-2023 season.
Newcastle declined last season by finishing 12th, and also exited the Champions League early from the round of 16 against Barcelona with an 8-3 loss.
Since January 7 last, the team has only won 5 matches out of 17 in the league.
