The Algerian Football Federation announced the official end of the contractual relationship with its coach Vladimir Petković and his technical staff today, Monday, based on a mutual agreement between the two parties.
Vladimir Petković has been coaching the Algerian national team since 2024, leading the Desert Warriors to the World Cup finals, and also reaching the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, after two consecutive eliminations in the first round in the 2021 and 2023 editions.
The Algerian Federation's official website announced the official termination of the contract with Vladimir Petković and his technical staff.
The Algerian Football Federation extended its sincere thanks to Vladimir Petković and all members of his staff, in appreciation of their professionalism, commitment, and dedication throughout 29 months at the helm of the national team's technical bench.
The Federation also expressed its great appreciation for the work accomplished, wishing them every success in the rest of their professional careers.
The Algerian national team had exited the last World Cup competitions held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in the round of 32.
