The competitions of an exciting new season in Egyptian football have begun, with many clubs seeking to achieve their various goals early on.
Beyond competing for the best results, all clubs have other objectives: discovering promising young talents who will form the core of their teams' future, or targeting the sale of their contracts to generate financial gains.
Although only the third round of the 2026–2027 Egyptian Premier League season has been reached, many clubs have already fielded young players in their matches so far. (See photos)
Among these promising talents are Zamalek's duo, Mohamed Hamd and Mohamed El-Sayed. The former participated in the match against Al-Ittihad Alexandria, while the latter has consistently been part of coach Moamen Gamal's plans, even scoring a goal against Suez Petrojet FC.
Furthermore, Eastern Company ENPPI leads the list of teams fielding the most young players in the league, featuring Anas Rushdi, currently the youngest player in the tournament, alongside his teammates Razak Laboudi and Ali Ehab.
Despite decisions made by the Egyptian Football Association at the start of the current season aimed at reducing the number of young foreign players in club squads, the list of the league's youngest players still features a notable presence of such athletes.
Alongside the Nigerian Razak Laboudi, there is also his compatriot Emmanuel Nwueke of Smouha SC, and the Congolese Saidi Kibou, star of Ghazl El-Mehalla.
