Mohamed Salah has attracted significant attention to the Turkish league recently, after signing for Trabzonspor during this summer on a free transfer, following the mutual termination of his contract with Liverpool and his departure from the Reds at the end of last season.
Mohamed Salah signed a two-year contract with Trabzon until the end of June 2028, with an annual salary reaching 17 million euros.
Mohamed Salah's deal continued to achieve many economic records for Trabzonspor, as the ''haberts'' website reported that Trabzon's shirt sales this season increased by 152%.

Trabzon sold 46,000 shirts during September of last year, while this year 116,000 shirts were sold, a clear difference indicating the impact of Mohamed Salah joining the Turkish team.
The site added that, according to ''Google'' data over the last 90 days, Trabzonspor ranked first in most searches within Egypt, while the city of Trabzon came in second place.
Additionally, the city of Trabzon received 3,170 Egyptian visitors during the first seven months of 2026, an increase of 14% compared to last year, when it was visited by 7,125 throughout the entire year of 2025.
Mohamed Salah is delivering excellent performances on the pitch with Trabzonspor, where the 34-year-old scored seven goals in the Turkish league this season, netting a hat-trick against Galatasaray during the last round of the local competition, quickly winning the hearts of Trabzon fans.
