Talaat Youssef, the former technical director of Al-Ittihad Alexandria, confirmed that Imam Ashour, Al Ahly and Egypt national team player, deserves to be in the first category according to his level.
He continued in statements to On Sport Max channel: "But this matter is not valid currently because Imam has a valid contract and when he signed this contract he signed with full will and no one pressured him".

He added: "The problem is not in increasing Imam Ashour's salary, and Al Ahly is capable of doing that, but if he did that it would ruin things".
He continued: "Al Ahly granted high salaries to Zizo and Trezeguet, and the club is trying to address that so it sold Trezeguet; you have Zizo and he is the biggest dilemma, not Imam Ashour".
He completed: "If Zizo leaves, Al Ahly will be able to deal with Imam Ashour because the latter looks to the former, and solving Imam's problem is not easy and requires convictions from the player and a desire and relative sacrifice from Al Ahly club, and I support the club's decision to set a limit on contracts".
