Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai stated that the dispute between him and his teammates Curtis Jones and Kostas Tsimikas over the captain's armband has ended, after sparking controversy in a friendly match against Wrexham.
Liverpool played their second friendly match against Wrexham a week ago, securing a 1-0 victory.
During the match, Szoboszlai handed the captain's armband to Tsimikas and then to Curtis Jones upon his substitution, which upset the latter as he voiced his complaint after the final whistle, prompting the Greek player to throw the armband onto the pitch.
In Liverpool's most recent friendly against Leeds United last Sunday, Szoboszlai handed the captain's armband to Curtis Jones.
Szoboszlai said in statements published by the global BBC network: "There was no dispute between us, the three of us. We discussed something on the pitch. You (the media) blew things out of proportion afterward."

He added: "But next time we will make sure to discuss matters in the dressing room. No one was angry with the other. Everything is fine. Things are calm."
He continued: "Vice-captain position? No, there was no discussion. We have a captain, Van Dijk, and also Alisson and Joe Gomez. There was no talk at all. Alisson is not here and Gomez is injured. It was a moment of pride for me to wear the captain's armband. Let's see what happens."
He affirmed: "I am not responsible for the matter, and nothing has been decided yet. If the position is offered to me, I will accept it. It would be a moment of pride for me, but I respect everyone. In any case, we will follow whoever takes that position."
He went on: "I feel we are ready to start anew. We will draw motivation from last season because it was not the best. We did not achieve what we wanted. We will try again."
He stated: "Determining who we should sign or whether we need to sign any player is not my concern. If the officials and the coach decide that, we will be happy and welcome him. If they decide not to sign anyone, we must create something special with this team."
