The Supreme Council for Media stated in an official statement today, Wednesday: "The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, approved the recommendation of the Complaints Committee, headed by media figure Essam El-Amir, the Council's Deputy, to archive the investigation into the complaint filed by Hussein Labib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Zamalek Club, against Tamer Abdel Hamid and Hadeel El-Banna."
The statement clarified that this measure comes after a thorough review of the content subject to the complaint in light of the media standards and codes issued by the Council.
It continued: "The Supreme Council for Media Regulation affirms that its specialized committees will continue to monitor and track content issued by various media outlets and social media accounts, to curb any violations that contravene the law or the approved professional standards and codes."
