The Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced the summoning of the legal representative of Al Hayah TV due to violations in the program “Kora Kull Yawm” (Football Every Day), hosted by Karim Hassan Shatata.

Karim Hassan Shatata had previously stated that Mohamed Marouf, the referee of the Al Ahly vs. Zed match, requested Wael Gomaa, the football manager of the Red Devils, to substitute Ali Mahmoud, a player on his team, despite the fact that he had not been sent off.

Based on the findings of the General Directorate of Monitoring at the Supreme Council for Media Regulation and the Sports Media Performance Regulation Committee, chaired by Abdel Salam El-Naggar, a council member and Vice President of the State Council, the Complaints Committee, chaired by media figure Essam El-Amir, the council’s deputy, decided to summon the legal representative of “Al Hayah” TV to a hearing regarding the violations of the media codes issued by the council in the episode of the program “Kora Kull Yawm” broadcast on August 29 of this month, hosted by Karim Hassan Shatata.

Essam Abdel Fattah, head of the Referees Committee, had previously confirmed that the VAR room recording of the Al Ahly vs. Zed match would be reviewed.

Gomaa confirmed in a statement to Yalla Kora that the widely discussed incident involving Ali Mahmoud is a baseless fabrication, adding that he does not allow any match referee to interfere in the technical aspects of the game. Read the details here
