Ahmed Suleiman, a member of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors, confirmed his intention to submit some proposals during the upcoming meeting of the club's board of directors, as part of his keenness to protect and preserve the club's rights.
He indicated that he would not relinquish the club's rights under any circumstances in his capacity as the current board member.
Suleiman said in a post on his official "Facebook" account: "I have closely followed over the past few days, and received with great interest many communications from the honorable members of the General Assembly, and our loyal fans who love the white entity, who expressed their concerns and their strong keenness for the future of Zamalek Club and its historical identity".
He added: "I affirm before God, then before the club's members and fans, that I will not accept or relinquish the club's rights and interests under any circumstances, and in my capacity as a current board member, I announce that I will submit an official memorandum at the upcoming board meeting, containing several proposals".
Proposals of the Zamalek Board Member
Ahmed Suleiman continued in his post: "First, affirming full approval for the establishment of the Zamalek Football Club Company, which is an investment step that has been long delayed and is necessary for the future; second, insisting that the controlling stake in the company's shares remain in the hands of the club, to ensure control over decisions and preserve the entity's identity, and not in the hands of the investor".
He continued: "Third, presenting the entire file for open discussion and listening to all opinions, as the club's future and history cannot be tied to the decision of only 12 individuals who are the board members, and the financial valuation prepared by specialized companies must be presented accurately to know the true value of the company and the share value before putting the stakes to a vote".
He went on: "Fourth, if opinions settle on amending the percentages and transferring the controlling stake to the investor, this must only pass through an extraordinary general assembly, held on the widest scale on a Friday to ensure maximum possible participation".
He added: "Fifth, that voting on this fateful decision be direct with yes or no and through a secret ballot that guarantees freedom of expression for the members".
Zamalek board member concluded: "Sixth, activating the financial penalty clause for those who fail to attend, to ensure the largest number of General Assembly members are mobilized for this historic event in which history will record those who rose to preserve Zamalek's identity and its future rights".
