A source at Zamalek Club revealed a new policy adopted by the team's technical staff, led by Moataz Gamal, regarding the goalkeeper position.
Zamalek Club is preparing to play its first match in the African Champions League against AS Port, the champion of Djibouti, today Friday.
The Zamalek first football team will face AS Port, the champion of Djibouti, at 8:00 PM today Friday at Cairo International Stadium in the first leg of the preliminary round of the African Champions League tournament.
A source at Zamalek Club stated in exclusive remarks to Yalla Kora: "Ayman Taher, the goalkeepers' coach, informed Moataz Gamal, the team's head coach, about activating a rotation system among the team's three goalkeepers—Mahdi Soliman, Mohamed Sobhi, and Mohamed Awad—during the upcoming period, rather than relying continuously on a single goalkeeper."
He added: "Through coordination between Moataz Gamal and Ayman Taher, the technical staff has decided to include Mohamed Sobhi in Zamalek's starting lineup for the upcoming match against Port."
He concluded: "Omar Abdel Aziz will sit on the substitutes' bench, while the duo Mohamed Awad and Mahdi Soliman have been excluded from the match squad."
