The British newspaper The Sun revealed that English defender John Stones is on the verge of joining Inter Milan, after reaching a verbal agreement with the Italian club following his departure from Manchester City.
According to what was reported by the Sky Sport Italy network, Stones, who is 32 years old, will sign a contract extending for two seasons with Inter Milan.
The report added that the player had been without a club since the end of his stint with Manchester City, before Inter succeeded in agreeing with him on all personal details.
John Stones is scheduled to undergo a medical examination today, Thursday, in preparation for the official announcement of his joining the ranks of the Italian champions.
The English defender transferred to the ranks of Manchester City in the summer of 2016, coming from Everton, for 55.60 million euros.
Stones had participated in 295 matches with Man City, in all competitions, over 10 years, during which he scored 19 goals and provided 19 assists.
