This comes after the player's name was linked to a departure from Saudi Al-Ahli in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Al-Riyadiya newspaper revealed, citing a source from Al-Ahli Jeddah's management, the club's insistence on keeping Al-Buraikan.
The report clarified that Al-Buraikan is an important part of the Saudi club's project and that all circulating reports about his departure are incorrect.
The player's contract with Al-Ahli Jeddah runs until the summer of 2028 with no release clauses.
Al-Buraikan began his career in Al-Nassr's youth categories, was promoted to the first team in 2017, and contributed to winning the Professional League title in the 2018–2019 season and the Saudi Super Cup in 2020 before transferring to Al-Fateh in the summer of 2021.
His experience with Al-Fateh saw development, as he scored 33 goals and provided nine assists in 65 matches across various competitions, which prompted Al-Ahli to sign him in the summer of 2023 on a long-term contract.
During his time with the western club, the player contributed to winning the AFC Champions League Elite title twice and the Saudi Super Cup.
Al-Buraikan has played 127 matches for Al-Ahli, scoring 30 goals and providing 17 assists across various competitions.
Al-Buraikan is considered one of the most prominent players in the Saudi national team.
