A source revealed to Yalla Koura Al-Ahly's stance on Mohamed Magdy "Afsha" continuing with the first football team next season.
The 30-year-old Afsha had returned to Al-Ahly after spending the second half of last season on loan at Al-Ittihad of Alexandria.
According to what a source inside Al-Ahly stated to Yalla Koura, Afsha's chances of staying with the team will increase if Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane departs this summer.
Yalla Koura had earlier learned that the Qatari club Al-Shamal entered negotiations with Al-Ahly to purchase Ben Romdhane.
Besides the Tunisian player's situation, the friendly match Al-Ahly will play against La Vina today will serve as a test for Afsha, and based on his performance, technical director Hussein Ammouta will decide on his future with the team.
It is worth noting that Afsha's contract with Al-Ahly runs until the summer of 2027, i.e., until the end of next season.
