The Egyptian Football Association notified 8 clubs to open the licensing system on the platform of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), during the past hours.

A source explained that this step came to upload the required documents from the clubs, to complete the procedures for granting the license to participate in the continental tournaments: the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup.

He pointed out that the clubs that were notified are the first 7 teams in the final standings of the Egyptian Premier League: Zamalek, Pyramids, Al Ahly, Ceramica Cleopatra, Al Masry, Enppi and Smouha, in addition to ZED, the runner-up of the Egypt Cup, with all clubs granted a deadline until 12:00 PM tomorrow to complete the upload of all required documents.

The source added that the Football Association has asked the clubs to submit responses and documents regarding all rulings and decisions issued against them by the Players' Status Committee and the judicial bodies of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), as well as regarding the rulings issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The Association also requested the clubs to attach proof of any legal procedures taken by the club, including appeals or challenges submitted regarding those rulings, as part of the licensing system requirements approved by the Confederation of African Football.
