The Argentine national team secured its place in the semi-final round of the 2026 World Cup, following its late victory over Switzerland by three goals to one, in a match that witnessed many tense and exciting moments between the two sides.
The stands witnessed the raising of a picture of Diego Armando Maradona by one of the Argentine fans, as the late star remains at the head of the Tango legends alongside Lionel Messi.
The Argentine players celebrated qualifying for the semi-finals of the World Cup, led by their star Lionel Messi, who appeared happy after advancing to the next round, and the celebrations extended all the way to the Tango team's dressing rooms.
On the other hand, signs of shock and sadness appeared on the faces of the Swiss players after the end of the match, amid objections from them in addition to coach Murat Yakin against the decisions of the Portuguese referee of the match, João Pinheiro.
Murat Yakin went to protest against the referee after the end of the match, while the Swiss players were keen to greet their fans and apologize to them after bidding farewell to the World Cup.
