Middlesbrough club has expressed interest in signing Radek Vitek, Manchester United goalkeeper, during the current summer transfer window.
Sky Sports news network indicated that Vitek is one of several names Middlesbrough is considering to strengthen the goalkeeper position, without determining whether the deal would be on loan or a permanent sale.
The Czech goalkeeper's contract with Manchester United ends after two years; he joined the club from Sigma Olomouc in 2020 but has not played any official matches with the first team so far.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper had announced his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer, given the difficulty of securing playing time with the first team during the next season.
Despite this, Vitek was included in United's squad during the pre-season preparations and played 45 minutes in the 1-0 loss to Wrexham, but was absent from the 5-0 win over Rosenborg.
Manchester United's current goalkeepers include Senne Lammens, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.
