Via FilGoal

Jurgen Klopp has come close to taking over the technical leadership of the German national team, and negotiations have reached their final stage for him to assume the role as successor to Julian Nagelsmann.

Julian Nagelsmann submitted his resignation from his position after the Mannschaft's exit from the World Cup in the round of 32 on penalties against Paraguay.

Sky Sport Germany revealed that Klopp's contract with Germany will run until the end of the 2030 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Spain, Morocco, and Portugal.

The final round of negotiations between Klopp and the German Football Association is scheduled to take place on Friday or Saturday in New York City, paving the way for reaching the final agreement.

The report clarified that Klopp's departure from the Red Bull group will not pose any obstacle to completing the agreement, as all procedures related to his exit will be finalized once the final contracts are signed with the German Football Association.

Klopp will receive a salary slightly higher than Nagelsmann's, which stands at 7 million euros per year.

Jurgen Klopp has been away from coaching since the summer of 2024 following his departure from Liverpool and is seeking to return once again through the gateway of the German national team.
