Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone revealed the reason for Julian Alvarez's immediate departure after the match against Villarreal.

Simeone explained in the post-match press conference: "The club's decision was that Alvarez should not approach the fans with his teammates."
When asked if he had given Alvarez any advice following the fans' boos, Simeone replied, "I am not here to give advice. My job is to focus on my work, which is, from a sporting perspective, to do my best for Atletico Madrid."
The Argentine manager concluded, "The only thing I know is that if Atletico Madrid wants to win the title, we must be united, we must have strikers, and we must have influential strikers. Therefore, we all need to work on what we need."
Alvarez has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the current transfer window, and the player reportedly does not want to continue his contract with Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid's management rejected the player's request, confirming that he is bound by a contract with the team until 2030.
Alvarez was absent in the first round with Atletico Madrid, in which the team secured an important 2-0 victory over Malaga.
Before coming on as a substitute in the second round against Villarreal on Sunday in the 66th minute, his first appearance since the start of the season.
