The market value of Mohamed Salah, captain of the Egyptian national team and star player for Turkish club Trabzonspor, has witnessed a notable decline.
According to Transfermarkt, a website specializing in determining players' market values, Salah's current value has dropped by €5 million to reach €17 million, based on the latest assessment.
Transfermarkt relies on several factors to determine players' market values, including age, current club, performance, and others.
The previous update had valued Salah (34 years old) at €22 million, issued at the beginning of last June, coinciding with the end of his stint with English club Liverpool.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian star's highest market value reached €140 million in 2018, at the beginning of his journey with Liverpool.
Salah's drop in value comes despite a stunning start with Trabzonspor, whom he joined on a free transfer during the past summer window, having played 8 matches for the Turkish side, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists.
